Well-written but way too short

This is fairly well-written and contains a lot of information in the space of its very few pages. My issue with it is I was hoping for a detailed history, and yet this "book" is more like a pamphlet. It totals 39 pages, if my recollection of counting Roman numerals is correct. And most of it is spent on Roman records and not much prior. Aren't there even any archaeological finds from tribal settlements of truly ancient times? A publisher selling a book should be sure it has more meat to it than this.
